Shandur



Shandur Chitral is located at a distance and is famous for the Polo festival and is also known as the roof of the world as it is the highest in the world with an elevation of 3700 meters. The top is aircraft and can be crossed between late April and early November. The most popular places to see in Shandur are the Polo festival, Shandur Pass and Shandur Lake.   • Polo Festival:

Polo festival is a three-day festival which is held every year from 7 to 9 July in Gheesar District of Gilgit Baltistan. Match played between the pictorial district and district of Gilgit Baltistan.   • Shandur Pass:

  • Shadur Lake:

This lake is accessible from both Chitral and Gilgit. When you are going from Chitral it is 147 kilometers and from Gilgit Baltistan it is 197 km. It is truly a peaceful and naturally beautiful place.
