The gorgeous Naltar valley is situated
near Gilgit and Hunza. It is almost 54 km from Gilgit. Naltar valley is the
forested region known for its dramatic forest scenery. Not only this the ski
competition is held at Naltar valley too. The Naltar valley consist of the road
known as “Silk route” that goes towards China. There are three lakes in the
Naltar valley known as 'Bashkiri Lakes' at 13 kilometers (8 mi) from Naltar
Bala. The road from village to the lakes is nonmetallic and narrow alongside a
stream throughout this road coming from the mountains. In winter it is almost
impossible to reach the lake through any vehicle due to the snow (10 to 15 feet
high) on the road.
Naltar Valley is one of the most
famous tourist attractions in Northern Pakistan. The valley offers a variety of
flora, fauna as well as natural scenery. There are special jeeps located in the
places for the tourist to visit the Naltar lake as the route is not smooth.
Naltar valley contains a special
tourist attraction and those who are visiting the Gilgit-Baltistan province
because of the ski options and many different tourist attractions including the
deep forest location. Hence, I suggest that those who are going to the northern
area of Pakistan make sure to visit this unique peace of valley with intense
greenery and environment safe place. Ski option is still there for you
nevertheless.
